Periscope & Michaels put twist on NYC holiday tradition with buzz-building pop-up

What better way to get in the holiday spirit than with a tree to make your home cozy, merry and bright? That’s why we partnered with Michaels to bring a twist to the classic sidewalk Christmas tree stand — a faux tree farm in the middle of New York City!

The two-day event, which drew attention from Vanity Fair and more, was hosted by actress and comedian Amy Sedaris. On the heels of launching her own D.I.Y. craft and cooking show, At Home with Amy Sedaris, she helped show off all the different ways to trim your tree with ornaments, lights and more, all from Michaels. With a sweet treat station filled with warm drinks, it was a cozy retreat from the cold city weather. Check out some pictures from the event below!
